About this course

A two-hour course for Junior Cycle Business Studies teachers on the two CBAs. In 2026/27, third years complete at least one CBA, your school decides on one or two, and there is no Assessment Task. It shows what the four weeks of Business in Action and the three weeks of the Presentation look like in a real class, how each student in a group keeps their own evidence, and the help the NCCA guidelines allow so the work stays the student's own. You judge a sample against the Features of Quality and prepare for the SLAR meeting. Every template is yours to download and adapt.

What you will be able to do

By the end you will be able to plan both Business Studies CBAs back from your SLAR date, run Business in Action so that each student in a group produces their own evidence, help each student narrow a Presentation topic to one aspect they can investigate in three weeks, judge a sample on balance against the Features of Quality, and bring your samples to the SLAR meeting ready.
