    2 - Search Operators + Quick Practice

    4 Key Search Operators

    • Keywords: Use specific words related to your topic ("school trip Galway" not just "trip")
    • Quotes: "exact phrase" finds results with those exact words together
    • Minus sign: coffee -tea excludes tea from coffee results
    • Site search: site:gov.ie finds results from government sites only

    Worked Example 1: School Trip

Query: "school trip Galway" -"tour company" site:gov.ie

Result: Government education sites with official guidelines appear first

Fact: "School trips require school approval and budget planning"

    Source: https://example.gov.ie/school-trip-guidelines

Why trust: Government .ie site, official education guidelines

3 - Try One Operator Now

Fact: "Local GAA clubs receive government sports funding"

    Source: https://example.gaa.ie/funding

Why trust: Official GAA .ie site

Worked Example 3: Local Business (for entrepreneur projects)

    Source: https://example.limerick.ie/markets

Why trust: Official council .ie site

    AI Search + Verification Process

AI Query: "What are typical costs for school trips to Galway?" (in Perplexity.ai)

AI Answer: "Typical range per student" [cites: commercial site]

Verification: Click source link → read original page → find actual range differs from AI summary
