On the board, and on their devices

The same lesson, open on each student's own screen. They follow along in class, and pick it up on their own afterwards.

What you get

Everything that comes with a Junior Cycle short course.

Lessons for the board and their devices You teach from the interactive whiteboard while the same lesson is open on every student's own screen.
A Teacher Resource Book to download The whole course laid out for planning. Download it, and print the parts you want.
Progress and results See what each student has completed and how they did, lesson by lesson.
Student certificates For portfolios, open days and reports home.

You teach from the board. They follow on their own device.

The lesson runs on the interactive whiteboard for you to lead, and the same lesson is open on each student's own device, so nobody is working from what they can make out at the front of the room. They can also work away on their own: a student who was out picks the lesson up where the class left it, and one who finishes early keeps going. The Classroom-Based Assessment is scaffolded across the course, so it is planned rather than improvised in the final term.

True digital learning

  • Around 100 hours of classroom content per short course
  • The same lesson on the board and on every student's own device
  • Students can catch up after an absence, or work ahead, on their own
  • The Classroom-Based Assessment scaffolded across the course
  • Certificates students can put towards the Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement
NCCA

Built to the NCCA Junior Cycle short course specifications

Each short course is built to its NCCA specification and runs to the full 100 hours, with its Classroom-Based Assessment scaffolded lesson by lesson. Schools choose which short courses to offer, and each one arrives planned from the first class to the final assessment, rather than as a folder of resources to sequence yourself.
