JC Science CBAs: Running the Extended Experimental Investigation and the Science in Society Investigation

A two-hour course for Junior Cycle science teachers on the two CBAs. In 2026/27, third years complete at least one CBA, your school decides on one or two, and there is no Assessment Task. It shows what the three weeks of an Extended Experimental Investigation and a Science in Society Investigation look like in a real class, and the help the NCCA guidelines allow at each stage so the work stays the student's own. You judge a sample report against the Features of Quality and prepare for the SLAR meeting. Every template is yours to download and adapt.
