Wide Feet Stand up

In this hands-on lesson, build two towers of equal height with wide and thin feet. Test them with a gentle tray nudge to discover why wide feet help a tower stand steady without falling over.

    Which tower will stay up when we wobble the tray: wide feet or thin feet?

    3 - Build Two Towers ~10 mins

    1. Build a tower with wide feet (three pieces spread out at the bottom).

    2. Build a tower with thin feet (one piece at the bottom).

    3. Make the tops the same height.

    4 - Gentle Nudge ~7 mins

    Give your tray a gentle nudge.
