Data can be represented in different ways. For example, we can use tables, charts, or graphs to show data. We can also use words or pictures to describe data. In this lesson, we will explore different ways to represent data.
Tables are a way to organize data in rows and columns. Let's create a simple table to represent the number of fruits you have at home. Grab a piece of paper and draw a table with three columns: Fruit, Quantity, and Color. Now, fill in the table with the fruits you have at home and their quantity and color.
Another way to represent data is by using words. Look at the table you created in the previous step. Can you describe the data in the table using words? For example, you could say, 'I have 5 red apples, 3 green bananas, and 2 yellow oranges at home.'
