    1 - Gather Materials

Before we start, gather some materials to create your sea animal flashcards. You can use the ones in this step, zoom in if you need to see them better or ask your teacher to print the image. You'll need paper, scissors, coloring materials, and a pen or pencil.

2 - Create Sea Animal Flashcards

Based on the flash cards in the previous step you can copy them draw and color different sea animals on separate pieces of paper.

Make sure to include a variety of sea animals, like fish, dolphins, sharks, whales, and turtles. Once you're done, cut out the flashcards using scissors.

    3 - Sort by Size

Now, let's start sorting by size! Follow these steps to arrange your sea animal flashcards in order from the smallest animal to the largest animal. Remember to think about the real-life size of these animals when sorting them.

    1. Look at all your sea animal flashcards and find the smallest animal.
    2. Place the smallest animal flashcard on the left side of your workspace.
    3. Find the next smallest animal and place its flashcard to the right of the first one.
    4. Continue this process, placing each animal flashcard in order from smallest to largest, moving from left to right.
    5. Once you have placed all the flashcards in order, double-check to make sure they are sorted correctly by size.

    4 - Sort by Color

Next, sort your sea animal flashcards by color. Group the flashcards with similar colors together. For example, you can have a group for blue animals, a group for green animals, and so on.

    5 - Sort by Habitat

Now, sort your sea animal flashcards based on where they live in the ocean. Group the animals that live near the surface together, the animals that live in the middle of the ocean together, and the animals that live deep in the ocean together.
