    1 - Gather Materials

To create your Pattern Artwork, first gather all the necessary materials. Find a clean and flat surface to work on, like a table or desk. Collect the following items:

    • A sheet of paper (preferably A4 size or larger)
    • Colored pencils, crayons, or markers in various colors
    • A ruler or straight edge (optional, but helpful for drawing straight lines)
    • An eraser (for correcting any mistakes)

Once you have all your materials ready, clear your workspace and make sure you have enough room to draw comfortably.

    2 - Choose Your Shapes

Think about the shapes you want to use in your artwork. You can use circles, squares, triangles, or any other shapes you like! To help you decide, follow these steps:

    1. Look around your room or outside for inspiration. What shapes do you see in objects or nature?
    2. Make a list of your favorite shapes on a piece of paper.
    3. Choose 3-4 shapes from your list that you would like to use in your pattern artwork.
    4. Practice drawing your chosen shapes on a separate piece of paper until you feel confident in drawing them neatly and consistently.

    3 - Choose Your Colors

Select at least three different colors for your artwork. You can use more colors if you want!

    4 - Create Your Pattern

Decide on a pattern to repeat throughout your artwork. You can choose a pattern based on shapes or colors. Here's how to create your pattern:

    1. Think of 3 shapes you like, such as circles, squares, and triangles.
    2. Think of 3 colors you like, such as red, green, and blue.
    3. Now, choose either shapes or colors to create your pattern. For example, if you choose shapes, your pattern could be 'circle, square, triangle'. If you choose colors, your pattern could be 'red, green, blue'.
    4. Write down your chosen pattern on a piece of paper to help you remember it as you create your artwork.
