You won't build anything new today. You show what you already made.
Warm-up
Imagine you have 20 seconds on a bus with your Work Experience supervisor. What one sentence would explain your project? Keep that sentence, because it is your pitch hook.
A pitch is a short talk about your project. Yours must stay under two minutes.
In a portfolio walkthrough, you open each Key Assignment file and say one sentence about it.
A gap list is a note of anything missing, so it can be sorted after class.
Your five-line pitch card
- Hook (15 seconds): one sentence naming my project.
- Why it matters (30 seconds): who it helps and why they care.
- Proof (45 seconds): stop on one slide or chart and say one number or fact.
- Next step (20 seconds): what happens this week.
- Close (10 seconds): a clear ask or a clear finish.
Hook: "We need €400 for kit." Why: the local U16 team needs it. Proof: one budget pie chart. Next step: a poster on the club noticeboard this week.

Do Part A with the whole class first.
Part A: Pitch card and timed run
- Open {{code:07_project_pitch}} and wait until it is on screen.
- Write your five-line pitch card. Your bus sentence is line 1.
- Run your pitch once on the class timer, in under two minutes.
Part B: Check your files
- Open each file in the checklist below.
- Fix anything missing, like a PDF.
- If a fix takes over five minutes, write it on your gap list.
- In {{code:08_promo}}, make a new document called {{code:08_course_reflection}}.

Success criteria
- I have a five-line pitch card.

Common issues
- My pitch runs over two minutes. Cut proof detail first and keep one number or chart.
- I can't find a file. Search your drive for its exact name and move it to the right folder. Version history can bring back an old copy.
- My deck won't open. Open {{code:07_project_pitch}} in the browser from OneDrive or Google Drive. Or pitch from your card and one evidence file.
