Open snipsound.com/video-editor, and last lesson's project should open. If it does not, click the folder button at the top and choose Open projects.
If you are on a different computer, click Manage › at the bottom of the Media panel, then Restore backup, and choose the .zip backup file you saved last lesson.
If you cannot find your project or backup, tell your teacher and rebuild it. Add these clips in order and trim them to 4, 6 and 10 seconds.
A cut jumps from one clip to the next. A transition takes a moment to reach the next clip, which changes how it feels. The table shows what each one tells the viewer.
| Choice | What the viewer reads |
|---|---|
| Hard cut | Urgency. Things are moving. |
| Short transition, about 0.5s | Deliberate. Somebody chose this. |
| Long transition, a second or more | Time passing, or a dream. Easy to overdo. |
| Fade to black | That is the end. Stop watching. |
Choose a transition for what it does to the pace. If you cannot say what it does, use a cut.
Put one transition on the join where the globe ends. Then change the colour of both clips so they match and look like one video.
One music track on its own sounds flat. Adding a second sound, timed to the picture, makes your video feel finished.
Add a title and export your video as an MP4 video file. Then swap the clips around and see how the story changes.
