Have you ever wondered how to describe your favourite outfit in French? Today we're becoming fashion experts who can talk about clothes in French!
In France, fashion is famous worldwide - think Paris Fashion Week! Knowing clothing words helps you shop, describe outfits, and even compliment friends' style.
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to:
- Name 10 clothing items in French
- Use 'le', 'la', and 'les' correctly with clothes
- Describe what someone is wearing
2 - New Clothing Words
Let's discover how French people describe their outfits! Click each clothing word below to hear the perfect French pronunciation, then practise saying it yourself.
Notice how some clothes use le (masculine), some use la (feminine), and some use les (plural). Spotting the pattern between English and French words will help you remember - like 'robe' sounds similar to 'robe'!
