Have you ever wondered how to describe your favourite outfit in German? Today we're becoming fashion experts who can talk about clothes in German!
In Germany, fashion is famous worldwide - think Berlin Fashion Week! Knowing clothing words helps you shop, describe outfits, and even compliment friends' style.
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to:
- Name 10 clothing items in German
- Use 'der', 'die', and 'das' correctly with clothes
- Describe what someone is wearing
2 - New Clothing Words
Let's discover how German people describe their outfits! Click each clothing word below to hear the perfect German pronunciation, then practise saying it yourself.
Notice how some clothes use der (masculine), some use die (feminine), and some use das (neuter). Spotting the pattern between English and German words will help you remember - like 'das Kleid' sounds similar to 'dress'!
3 - Label the Outfit
