Today you finish the digital safety charter and put your M2 KA2 pack in your portfolio.
Have these two pieces in front of you for the design step:
Everyone designs and saves their own wall-ready copy of the class charter for the KA2 pack. The class may later pick one version to hang.
This lesson you design that charter as a poster, write one importance statement (one sentence on why it matters), and package the three pieces as your KA2 Final Pack.
If time is short: finish the canvas poster, the importance statement, and your Contribution Note first. The pack filename can wait until your teacher checks.
A strong KA2 pack has three pieces. The charter is designed so a stranger could read it from a corridor. The Contribution Note names your clauses and why each one is there. The importance statement is one honest sentence on why the charter is worth keeping.
| Term | What it means for you | Real example |
|---|---|---|
| Final charter | The polished poster version of the class rules you design today | A one-page wall poster the year group could adopt |
| Designed document | Laid out for a glance: title first, short specific clauses, only what earns its place on the page | Title across the top, five numbered clauses, one icon, lots of white space, readable from a metre away |
| KA evidence pack | Charter, Contribution Note, and importance statement together in your Communication Portfolio so your teacher can verify M2 KA2 | One folder named m2_l48_ka2_pack_JM with poster, Contribution Note, and importance statement |
The wording is already done: your charter uses the clauses your class agreed last lesson. Today is about making them work on a wall.
First, design your own final charter on the canvas. Use your copy of the class charter clauses from last lesson (or your own polished clauses if you are working alone). Treat the canvas as one poster page: clear title at the top, short numbered clauses, optional icon. Keep it readable from a short distance and cut anything that does not help a corridor reader.
Pictures: choose one from the canvas's own picture library, or use none. Each picture shows its licence; if it needs a credit, the Credits tab gives you the line to put under the poster.
Then save the poster into your portfolio: export or download the canvas page (or take a clear screenshot or photo of a paper version), and save that file into your Communication Portfolio folder.
When the design is saved, complete the pack in the work box under the canvas with the three KA pieces only:
Save the three pieces together under a name like m2_l48_ka2_pack_JM (your initials) so your teacher can find the full pack when they verify KA2.
Check your KA2 pack against the criteria below. Rate each row. Anything below the top level needs a specific comment. At the end, name the one fix you would make first if something is still open.
Talk this through with the person beside you, or sit with it on your own:
The longer thinking can go in your Reflective Journal after class if you want to keep it.
