    1 - Introduction

    Hello again, young explorer!

By now, you've embarked on the thrilling journey of turning numbers into vibrant charts. But did you know that you can make your charts even more dazzling? Just like how a painter adds details to their masterpiece, you can customise your charts to tell your story even better.

2 - What You Already Know

Let's take some time to recap what we have already learnt. Remember what we have said in previous courses. Leaning is about repeating and using that repetition to build a web of knowledge.

    The Basics of Chart Creation

Starting Point: You began by understanding the importance of visualising data. Instead of just looking at rows and columns of numbers, you learned how a chart can instantly show patterns, trends, and comparisons.

Data Input: Before any charting could begin, you delved into entering data into Excel. You listed items in columns, such as different fruits or book titles, and corresponding values, like the number of times you ate a particular fruit or the number of books read in a month.

Chart Types: You explored various chart types available in Excel:

Column and Bar Charts: Great for comparing individual items.
Line Charts: Perfect for showing trends over time.
Pie Charts: Useful for understanding parts of a whole.

    3 - Data Stories

Telling Tales with Numbers: You've seen how a simple list of football scores can transform into a visual story. For instance, a line chart might have shown how a team's performance changed over a season, or a column chart could have compared the scores of different teams.

Interpreting Charts: It's not just about creating charts, but also about understanding them. You've practiced looking at a chart and deciphering the story it tells, whether it's spotting which fruit you eat the most or identifying the peak month for book reading.

    4 - The Excel Workspace

Ribbon & Tools: You became familiar with the Excel interface, especially the Ribbon at the top. This is where you found all the tools needed to craft your charts, from selecting the right type of chart to customising its look.

Cells and Ranges: You learned the importance of selecting the right data range for your chart. By highlighting the correct cells, you ensured that your chart displayed the information you wanted.
