Think of a chart you saw online or on a school notice. Could you tell what it was about without a caption?
Missing your charts? Tell your teacher and you will rebuild them quickly.
A chart title is a short line that says what the chart shows, like "Kit fundraiser costs by item (€)".
Axis labels are words that name what each side of a bar chart measures, such as Cost (€) or Hours.
Data labels are the real numbers or percentages shown on each bar or slice.
A legend is the key that matches colours to categories. Hide it if it only repeats the title.
Print-safe colours still look different when printed in grey, like navy, teal, charcoal and light grey.
You will format your bar chart first, then your pie chart. Watch your teacher, then follow the steps in the box below.
If time is short, skip the stretch steps. You can finish them in Independent Practice.
