Imagine your class is decorating the old art room for a school play set. You need to know exactly how much paint, carpet, or wallpaper to buy. Too little and the job's unfinished. Too much and you've wasted money.
Today you'll measure a real space in your school: a classroom, a yard, a stage area: using a tape measure. You'll convert between cm and m, calculate the perimeter (edge distance) and area (floor space), and record it all for your project budget.
Every real project starts with accurate measurements. Here's what you'll master today, with a worked classroom example.
